Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham, also titled Marakkar: Firstly, Lion of the Arabian Sea, is an upcoming Indian Malayalam-language historical period war film directed by Priyadarshan. Secondly, The screenplay was written by Priyadarshan with Ani Sasi. Thirdly, The film was produced by Antony Perumbavoor through Aashirvad Cinemas, with Roy C. J. and Santosh T. Kuruvilla as co-producers. Most importantly, The film stars Mohanlal in the title role. Additionally, The film also features Arjun Sarja, Suniel Shetty, Prabhu, Manju Warrier, Keerthy Suresh, Siddique, Mukesh, Nedumudi Venu, and Pranav Mohanlal in supporting roles.

Moreover, Principal photography took place from in December 2018 to March 2019. It was filmed on the sets at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. With a budget of ₹100 crore, Lion of the Arabian Sea is the most expensive Malayalam film ever made. Finally, The film originally scheduled to release on 26 March 2020 was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In summary, It was then moved to 12 August 2021 before postponing again. At the 67th National Film Awards, the film won three awards—Best Feature Film, Best Special Effects, and Best Costume Design.
